Hotel Hellnar is a unique country hotel which has been certified by the international certification program GREEN GLOBE 21 as a sustainable accommodation since 2002. The hotel was awarded the Icelandic Tourist Board’s Environmental Award in 2000, and again in 2004 through being a GREEN GLOBE 21 certified member of the Icelandic Farm Holiday group. Hotel Hellnar is relatively new, first wing was built in 1998, another added in 2004 and the most reasent one in 2011. Accommodation in 30 twin rooms with private bathrooms (wc/shower). Rooms have TV with BBC and Euro News and other channels. Comfortable lounges with fine libraries.

Hotel Hellnar is a member of the Icelandic Farm Holiday group and SAF, the Icelandic Tourism Industry Association.
